MAY I HAVE YOUR ATTENTION PLEASE !

Not just you, you and you. Not just those senoritas and perdros from the south, not just those duds and chicks from the north, I want the whole world to hear about this one. It's a about the new David Copperfield. Yeah you must be thinking, she probably ate a piece of that "fruit" from a "forbiden" tree  or smoked some ganga on the Haloween night and now she is serving us with this  hoax or proforma at best. NO, I asure you not. Believe you me! I did find him. And just because I like to think that I am a good person I will tell you where he is and what he does and how do I know it's HIM.

So I am riding this great bike. Better than my old one....

it's the older NRS-1 giant bike. Hey you must say, so what? Don't interupt me, please for the love of your bicykle helmets and gloves let me just tell you the story, trust me, you will be glad that I did ! So I ride this bike, for a few races now. And few training rides of course. It's my very good friend's bike. Ray Nelson is his name. And he is a very nice fella, I love him deerly but when it comes to cleaning his bikes and taking care of them, he is worst than me. Yeah, I know I should not be complaining about the teeth color of the borrowed horse, but I just want you to get the picture. That's it. So, immediately after I sat on this bike I realized that this "horse" => I like very much. Althou I had a carbon bike myself a while ago, my machine never served me well. We weren't exactly the match made in heaven. So I got rid off it and hoped on this one. It did not take long to figure out that it needed some lubin and maybe some lovin too. But I did 3 races on it and it felt great.

I was so excited about riding this bike, but there were couple of buts. And when the sentence of discribing your bike ends in but...it is not good. The ride was swift and solid but shifting just didn't match. It was like old grandma trying to learn chinese for the first time in her life. Not only it took forever to shift , but every time I tried to do so I felt I was going to brake my fingers pushing so hard on those XTR levers. And when I finaly did it either didn't do much or it miss-shifted. And I could go on and on....how hard and how bad and how this and that, but in reality, I still very much so enjoyed that bike much more than I ever enjoyed my old Trek Fuel.

So, I finaly took it to a bike doctor. I now for a long time had faith in DON, who is running the shop in Lake Geneva. What I didn't know was that he was a genius. Well, I don't really believe in geniuses, I don't really believe in the talent either. The later is only 10% of success. And the first one  is a as subjective as a color of our cars to choose. What I disovered is that Don is a magician. I would say that he is a bike god, but I don't want to offend anyone.  Yes, he fixed it! Of course. Oh, well, don't be so tacky, I know that many people can fix a bike, but how many can do it fast, precise, the first time and on the budget ? Well I don't know anyone else.  So quit bitching at your wife, don't be angry at your bike or your boss and go to RRB cycles and get something fixed, for the love of the bananas you know that your bike needs fixing after you beating him the whole freaking season, otherwise this unhappy state may stay with your for the rest of your life. And I want you to understand one thing: nothing in the world can take a place of persistance and hard work. Talent will not, nothing is more common than unsuccessful men with tallent. Genius will not, unrewarded genius is almost a proveb....only the hard work and persistance will and all the people working at RRB cycles worked years on their skilles and it's not because somebody told them they had tallent, or that they were genious, no. It's the real life experience and practise what makes the pros MAGICIANS.

So thanks to DON and Ron and Ray and Butch to all of them I am thankfull for being at the right place, always on time.

 Gabi

Oh, by the way, here is the pick of me riding this bike of Rays: Image
