I'll start with a pick right off the bat:
This is a group of people who puts the TreadFest race of the Wors series ON. And when I say on I mean ON !
So this funny race is in Lake Geneva Wisconsin. Specificaly it takes place in Grand Geneva Resort. Nice little place. Anyways, so I am not killing time here, there are a few things to be said, but don't take your hats off, just yet ladies and gentlemen because my brief description of this "hidden gem" in the heart of Midwest is very subjective, so I dare you before I say another word to come out in 2010 and do it with us to see and experience for yourselves. www.treadheadcycling.com. And if you won't like it, don't tell me, don't come to me to cry or to any of us for that matter, because frankly you will not find much of sympathy here. So before you proceed, know that those who are easily scared shall not wander into the woods in the middle of the night, even thou they may be carrying a flash light: 1. Starts up the hill 2. then there is another hill just shortly after 3. then another, so you get the picture, it's hilly 4. shades are recomended so you must not eat the dirt of off somebody elses tire 5. rock friendly 6. swithback tricky (on some of those final switches at the end of the lap, the best of the best are even tested) 7. some passages are narrow, (PSSSST : I wished too my handlebars were narrower, at times I even wished my ass was skinnier) 8. sllipery and gu-ee when wet 9. CAUTION dips ! 10. Check the breaks on downhills 11. oh, smile at the finish ( I always have a hard time) Hm, now I am re-reading it, it doesn't really sound that "scarry" or "hardcore" as I wanted it to, but I guess I am not a good writer. Or maybe I just didn't want to scare off anybody, cause I want you all to come to the next race. So stay tuned and visit frequently : www.treadheadcycling.com or www.wors.org for updates and new races. Hope to see you all next season. And happy snowy skiiy winter time. Yeah! Gabi |
